Almonte Celtfest is an annual cultural celebration of the Ottawa Valley’s heritage through music, song, and dance, and is located in the rural community of Almonte. It is a 3-day, by-donation event that endeavours to celebrate the rich history of culture and traditions, including from the Scottish and Irish settlers, the Francophone community, and the Algonquin (Anishnaabeg) peoples. The festival features a wide variety of performances, workshops, street performances, children’s activities, and concerts, and encourages impromptu sessions or ceilidhs in the natural amphitheatre of Gemmill Park.
