Come Wander
Maple Donuts

After indulging during a road trip to complete the Ottawa Valley Maple Adventures, Ayngelina Brogan, a big-time foodie and owner of restaurant Loka in Toronto, wanted more (now that’s a real sweet tooth!). She set her sights on exploring Lanark County, the Maple Syrup Capital of Ontario to discover the creative ways the friendly locals of this region are embracing their sweeter side and celebrating all things maple.

Discover how this Rustic Roamer filled up with treats like maple chipotle sausages, low fat maple bacon doughnuts (yes, you read that right!), and maple-bourbon barbecue bacon jam, or how she quenched her thirst with Oh Canada Maple Ale, maple moonshine, and maple lattes. Between mouth-watering moments, Ayngelina also took the time to get to know some of the unique characters who celebrate maple every day, and discovered some less-traditional ways maple is used in this community. You can read her full story here.
