Come Wander
Festival of Small Halls Performance

As the lights go down and the soft strumming of a guitar starts to rise, there’s a silence that falls over the crowd, broken only by a single powerful voice, filling the room with the first verse. The crowd surrounding you quickly changes from strangers to comrades, feeling every emotion together, singing along, and swaying to every note. These are just some of the many magical moments that happen during a live performance – made even more intimate by the small venues that are the signature of the Festival of Small Halls.

This festival takes place across Eastern Ontario, bringing big sounds and big names to small halls and celebrating the spirit of the communities in which they reside. Every fall when the incredible sounds of Canadian bands roll into the community centres, agricultural halls, and churches across Ontario’s Highlands, local music lovers and out of town fans gather together to witness the magic that happens when these small spaces are overtaken by big sounds.
